A workshop performance of the opera adaptation of Khaled Hosseini’s novel, A Thousand Splendid Suns. Hosseini, the author ofThe Kite Runner, has sold over 40 million books worldwide. Suns explores the role of women in contemporary Afghanistan and confronts the issues facing two women living in Kabul, and married to the same man, under the yoke of a patriarchal culture.
